AHMAD NAQIB BIN AZHAR

Naqib read law at the Faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and was an active member of the faculty. He graduated with a Bachelor of Legal Studies (BLS) honours degree in 2010 and later with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) honours degree in 2011. During the course of his legal studies at UiTM.

 Upon the completion of his pupillage, Naqib was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 25th of May 2012 and pursuant to this, he further pursued his legal career by joining Messrs. Soo Thien Ming & Nashrah of Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur as a Legal Assistant. During his service at Messrs. Soo Thien Ming & Nashrah,  Naqib handled civil, commercial and banking litigation cases whilst acting for banks, companies and private individuals and, it is also during this time where he was involved inter alia in the high profile suit by a utilities company against a state government. Naqib had also drafted agreements for private aviation companies during that time.  

 Naqib the practiced as a partner at Messrs Syed Amir, Naqib & Co in Putrajaya from July 2014 till July 2018. Naqib also co-managed the firm with partner, Syed Amir Nidzamuddin. During that time, Naqib also represented and advised corporate clients such as GPB Sdn Bhd, Silvercab Sdn Bhd, Gunung Capital, and GMMF, among others.

In 2018, Naqib departed from Messrs Syed Amir, Naqib & Co. and joined Messrs Asiah & Hisam, Bandar Baru Bangi as senior associate, wherein he is in charge of  a very diverse portfolio ranging from the drafting of corporate and commercial agreements, settlement agreements, department summons, general civil litigation, banking litigation, criminal litigation and various other works.
